This environment is created around the Media Blueprint for London 2012 Proposal, written by Prof Andy Miah and championed by the Abandon Normal Devices festival, an ‘inspired by 2012′ cultural programme.
We are building partnerships with organizations and individuals who want to operate as a collective citizen media agency during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
We propose to build a network with hubs in Glasgow, Manchester and London, which will draw in stories from the Nations and Regions, affecting the core media narrative about the Games and building a new media legacy for the Olympic Movement.
The first public launch of the proposal will take place as part of the Abandon Normal Devices (http://www.andfestival.org.uk) festival of digital culture, an ‘inspired by 2012′ event, based in the Northwest of England.The AND festival is the proposal’s primary advocate and locus of development towards 2012.
